SUSTAINABLE WORKPLACES

All businesses have a need to enhance their viability and triple bottom line sustainability in the market place. We believe this can be done by maximising the potential of current resources while balancing economic, ecological and social needs and looking optimistically to the future.

In recent years our work has included:

  • delivering frontline management qualifications with enterprises such as the Australian National Training Authority, ACTEW Corporation, Boeing Australia, Queensland Rail, Queensland Treasury, Department of Main Roads and Normandy Mining
  • providing qualifications in management and competency assessment through Allied Partnerships in Australia and New Zealand
  • accrediting Project Management qualifications delivered in partnership with Interlink.
  • coordinating the South-East Queensland Assessor and Workplace Trainer network
  • coordinating Residential Aged Care traineeships
  • conducting workplace trainer and workplace assessor programs in all Queensland regions and private and public sector organisations
  • organisational development and problem solving consultancies
  • incorporating sustainable development as a key factor in enhancing workplaces
  • facilitating leadership programs for managers in the small-to-medium business sector in particular in the light manufacturing industries and the textile, clothing and footwear industry.
  • conducting reviews and evaluations on business outcomes
  • conducting international workshops on management development and competency assessment
  • conducting "Stepping Naturally Into Sustainability" workshops

During 2002 - 2004 we plan to:

  • provide audit services to report on the triple bottom line outcomes of businesses and other agencies
  • broaden our base of nationally and internationally accredited programs in management and workplace support, including, environmental management, strategic management, project management and operational management
  • facilitate futures-searching activities in business
  • consult with businesses about how they will develop environmental management and resource-use strategies so that their long term future can be enhanced
  • use the Appreciative Inquiry methods to help businesses develop
  • use Natural Step methods to support sustainable development in enterprises and communities
